Barber School Wales is the leader in Barbering Education renowned for its adaptable approach to training in the industry. Alessandro’s brand has positioned itself at the forefront of the Welsh barbering scene over the last 8 years. This beginners course for barbers will reflect this from start to finish.
Alessandro received poor training at an established Academy, and it wasn’t until he trained under his Father where he realised aspiring barbers aren’t being given the adequate training they need to start their barbering careers.
After many years working in the industry, building his brand, he created Barber School Wales in order to improve the Industry standard not only in Wales, but in the UK.

We run a special offer at the start of the course for students to purchase a kit.
If not we will provide a list of tools needed for each student.

Our course is 12 weeks. This is the longest course in Wales with others advertising you’ll be shop ready within 8/9 weeks - this is not possible.
From our experience, we have witnessed many students participating in these 8/9 weeks courses or college courses and not receiving adequate training. They then have to re-invest in another course to get up to speed.
This is a career change, not a course for your hobby, if you invest wisely from the start, you won’t need to buy twice.

No, very minimal theory. We provide top standard learning resources with our step by step guides and visual diagrams. You can review these resources from the comfort of home or on your smartphone.
The rest of the training at the Academy is 100% practical, during which you will absorb the theory in a hands-on manner. The best way to learn the theory is to apply it while doing a haircut and interacting with the client.

You'll finish trained to a job-ready standard. Our academy runs as a full working barbershop, so every client is real and you're supported by our educators throughout. We have a strong track record of graduates going on to work in top barbershops across the UK and beyond — though we don't guarantee or arrange employment directly. What we give you is the toolkit to get there: a portfolio, industry contacts, and guidance on approaching shops and passing trade tests. We're well known in the industry, and shops regularly approach us looking to recruit our graduates.
-
You can expect to complete up to 150-200 haircuts during this course. We provide you all these clients. The key to becoming a good barber is practice, so we maximise the number of haircuts that you do.
-
We deliberately keep our classes small, with one dedicated educator per class. That means plenty of 1-on-1 support and personal feedback throughout your course.
-

No experience is needed for our beginner course.

While we don’t directly facilitate job placements, we do provide valuable resources. As we are well known within the industry for our high quality training we have a larger databse of barbershop/salon owners consistently looking for barbers, and many do look to recruit our graduates. We encourage students to start approaching shops soon after starting a course and starting up an instagram portfolio so you can show these to potential employers. With any salon/barbershop you will be asked to go for a skills test to demonstrate your suitability to potential employers.

We have various options:
You can split the payments for up to 3-6 months.
OR
You can finance the course
